Matthew Meadows - Raised in Jasper, Alabama, Matthew Meadows remains in-demand as a soloist, chamber musician and clinician. In recent years, he has earned top prizes in numerous solo competitions. In 2019, he was awarded second-prize in the International Horn Competition of America University Division. He has also been awarded top prizes in the 2018 Southeast Horn Workshop Solo Competition and the 2019 Southeast Horn Workshop High Horn Mock Audition Competition.
In addition to his passion for solo performance, Matthew is an active chamber musician. He is the principal horn of the Capstone Horn Quartet, also known as “Tater and the Tots.” Since the group’s inception in 2017, the Capstone Horn Quartet has been awarded first-prize in both the Southeast Horn Workshop Quartet Competition and the International Horn Society Summer Symposium Amateur Quartet Competition. Matthew is currently a graduate assistant at the University of Alabama, where he studies with Charles “Skip” Snead. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Alabama in 2019. |
Vincent Morreale - Vincent Morreale is the newest member of the quartet. Originally from Knoxville, Tennessee, Vincent has played all over the United States. Vincent received his B.S in Music Education from the University of Tennessee in 2012, his M.M. in Music Performance at the University of Miami (FL) in 2014, and is now a DMA candidate in Horn Performance at the University of Alabama. Vincent was a freelance musician in the Chicago area in between his time at Miami and the University of Alabama.

Anthony Parrish - Anthony is a native of Morris, Alabama, and he graduated from the University of Alabama in May of 2019 with his B.S. in Music Education. Anthony is currently a graduate assistant at the University of Alabama, where he studies with Charles "Skip" Snead.
Anthony has competed in solo competitions at the Southeast and Mid-South regional workshops, placing 3rd at the 2017 Mid-South Workshop, and 1st at the 2019 Southeast Workshop. Along with these achievements, Anthony has participated in the Wind Ensemble at UA throughout his undergrad, playing every part at some point. Currently, Anthony is the principal horn player of the Huxford Orchestra at UA. |
Charlie Snead - Charlie, a Tuscaloosa native, has played in the Huxford Symphony Orchestra for all 5 years of his collegiate career. He has played 2nd and 4th part with the ensemble. Charlie has also performed with the Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra on 4th horn.
Charlie participated in the Rocky Ridge Music Festival in the summer of 2018 where he worked as a counselor for the youth and performer for the festival, receiving honors as a chamber competition finalist at this festival!
